Manual Requirements

Posted by Lloyd on January 09, 2012

The hiring process is just one of the many situations in which an employee manual can come in handy. By reviewing it with instructor candidates, they know right away what will be expected of them as your employees. If they can’t comply with the requirements, you’ll have saved time and avoided misunderstandings by bringing it to light early.

Your manual should address the following:

* Certification requirements

* Appropriate dress

* Class format

* Equipment maintenance

* Scheduling

* Compensation and benefits

* Meeting attendance

* Demos and performances
* Support of club events and promotions

* Customer relations
* Grievance procedures

These guidelines act as an implied contract and will help to keep your aerobics program running smoothly.
